N december 22, 2017 at approximately 10:40 a.M. Lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of vader avenue to investigate the suspicious deaths of two individuals located by the clark county fire department. Arriving officers were guided to a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound and a deceased female with no apparent wounds. The investigation initiated by the lvmpd homicide section indicated a care giver arrived at the residence, but the there was no answer at the door. Looking in through a window they saw a person laying on the floor. Medical personnel were notified and made entry into the residence. Once inside they located both individuals who were pronounced deceased at the scene. Due to the suspicious situation they notified police. The preliminary investigation revealed that both victims identified as renee simmons and tom dufault had a gunshot wound.
