On august 9th, 2007 at around 10:50 p.M., officers responded on a call of a shooting at east colfax avenue and gaylord street, the popeye’s chicken restaurant. Witnesses observed two males talking in the parking lot next to the drive-through. During this conversation, one of the males produced a handgun and shot the victim, charles jackson, several times. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. When officers arrived they found charles lying next to the drive-through suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.Agency
