Michelle, age 28, was the mother to a young son living in the cottonwood heights area at the time of her death. Her son was staying with grandparents on the night of the arson/murder. In the early morning hours of february 22, 1990 at approximately 2:00am that morning michelle’s home at 7192 s. Highland drive became engulfed in flames. Neighbors heard her screaming and tried to offer assistance but were unable to do so due to the intensity of the fire. Michelle died as a result of smoke inhalation. Arson was determined to be the cause of the fire.
