On september 20, 1971, 23 year old rebecca hernandez and her child were walking home after shopping at the grocery store, when they were confronted by a pair of unknown suspects near 34th avenue and marion street. The suspects shot rebecca and stole her wallet. She died from the injuries sustained during the robbery.
