On december 19, 2000, officers responded to the 1600 block of alton street on the report of shots fired. Officers located two victims with gunshot wounds. Miguel tovar-jacobo was located in the driver's seat of his vehicle with a gunshot wound. A second victim, edilberto tovar-calderon was located in a stairwell of an apartment complex. It appeared as though the second victim had been shot in the front passenger seat of the same vehicle, ran, and was shot again. Witnesses indicated three black males were seen running westbound across alton street after the shots were fired. The suspect(s) of this crime have yet to be identified.
