On july 4, 2017, at approximately 0031 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting at 504 patterson avenue. Officers located reed and another victim on the ground suffering gunshot wounds. Reed was not breathing and suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Reed was later pronounced deceased. There was a total of five victims from this shooting. They were all said to be hanging out in the back yard when several unknown black males walked into the backyard of the residence and opened fire.
