On november 29, 2006, colorado springs police department patrol officers responded to a report of an unconscious man laying next to a bus bench at the intersection of mallard drive and teal court. Upon arrival, the officers discovered 32-year-old william dieckmann, who had been shot. Subsequent autopsy concluded manner of death was homicide resulting from gunshot wounds to the chest. Colorado springs police department detectives interviewed several witnesses to include neighbors but were not able to identify any suspects. The investigation into the death remains open.
