Richmond police detectives have identified the victim from the fatal shooting that occurred on new year’s day on st. Paul street as amir f. Suluki, ii, 33, of the 200 block of west baker street. At approximately 4:38 a.M. On wednesday, january 1, officers were called to the 900 block of st. Paul street in gilpin court for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found suluki down and unresponsive in a courtyard behind an apartment building. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were considered life threatening.
