On july 2, 2021, at approximately 1810 hours, officers responded to a shooting in the area of 500 highland avenue. Officers located a silver dodge caliber with multiple gunshots on the driver's side in front of 500 highland avenue. As officers approached the driver's side, they located reynolds unresponsive suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The passenger from the vehicle was located in front of 502 highland avenue. The passenger advised he and reynolds had visited the skating rink on main street in newport news and then went to a residence in the area of 433 highland avenue to a gathering. As they were leaving the gathering in a vehicle, shots rang out and reynolds was struck by the gunfire. Multiple casings were located in the roadway in front of 433 highland avenue.Agency
