Early in the morning on may 10, 1994, lashone lawson and his wife were sleeping in their apartment on the 9400 block of .N tyler avenue when four unidentified african-american males broke into his home at approximately 2:00 am. The unidentified males began demanding money, struck the victim multiple times, and shot lashone, a 26-year-old african-american man, in front of his wife. Lashone fell from their second-story apartment window onto the side yard. Lashone lawson was unemployed at the time of his deat.H but was reported to have been dealing small amounts of drugs and was associated with people in the gang culture. Lashone lived in the apartment with his wife and infant daughter. The four unidentified african-american males have been described as being in their late teens to early twenties wearing gloves and balaclava type masks.
