Mrs. Melendez was a divorced mother of four children. She was unemployed and on the date of her murder was last seen on morgan street in yonkers with a female friend. She was later found at 4:48 am, shot in the head in front of 17 morgan street. A male who was on his way to see his girlfriend at 55 school street found mrs. Melendez lying in the street in a lifeless condition. This male then went to school street where he contacted the police.Agency
