Curtis Lee Elis was reported missing to the Eureka Police Department on August 8, 1990. Ellis was last seen in late February 1990 and was reportedly leaving to visit Texas. Skeletal remains identified as belonging to Ellis were located on December 29, 1992, by a tourist in the area of the Avenue of the Giants near Myers Flat. Ellis’ cause of death is unknown and his death is considered suspicious.Agency
