On april 23, 2015, mathew straub alerted family members that he believed he was being robbed/broken into. Family reported this to police. When police arrived, mathew was found fatally shot inside of his residence. Mathew was a true family man in every way. He came from a large family (3 brothers, a sister, 2 stepbrothers and a stepsister) that he also helped raise. His true priority was always his 3 sons and a stepson. He was a present and active father in their lives and was very adamant his sons get an education. Mathew appeared to have a rugged exterior but was a push over when it came to his family. This has left a big hole in his family’s heart, and he is missed beyond measure.Agency
