On april 15, 1975, melanie "Suzi" cooley left nederland high school where she was a senior. She was last seen hitchhiking in nederland. A road maintenance worker found her body on may 2, 1975 in coal creek canyon. Melanie was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket with an embroidered eagle on the back and tan colored boots.
