On the morning of december 14, 1980, members of the denver police department were alerted to a body floating in the drainage ditch near the pepsi-cola company, located near the intersection of 38th avenue and arkins court. The body was later identified as 18 year old julie marchese. During the investigation it was determined julie marchese was the victim of a homicide.
