On september 3, 1989, officers responded to a residential fire at 462 east 2nd avenue. There were two people inside the burning residence when officers arrived. Officers were able to rescue vessie valdez from the burning home. However, they were unable to save jesus "Felix" valdez. It was soon determined the fire was intentionally set. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the durango police department.
