On the evening of april 21st, 1983 members of both the denver police and fire departments responded to a structure fire at 3806 gilpin street. Upon arrival, several residents of this apartment building were treated at the scene for injuries related to the fire. Daniel perry was immediately transported from the scene after being found inside of one of the apartments. Unfortunately, eight year old daniel perry died shortly after arriving at a local hospital. Daniel’s cause of death was classified as cardiac arrest resulting from smoke inhalation.Agency
