At approximately 1:30 a.M., south precinct officers responded to uab hospital on a call of a person shot who arrived at the er by a private vehicle.South precinct officers arrived at the location and began to investigate the shooting incident.The victim was pronounced deceased by uab medical staff at 1:39 a.M.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and a friend were in the 2100 block of avenue I, ensley when the shooting occurred around 1:00 a.M. The victim was a passenger inside the vehicle when an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into the vehicle, fatally wounding the victim, and left the scene in a vehicle.
