Fifty-seven year old Norman Friddle lived in the 200 block of Montecito at the time of his murder. Norman answered a knock at his front door on the evening of July 13, 1984 and was immediately assaulted. Detectives at the time believed the attack was an attempted robbery. Norman subsequently died of his injuries and was unable to provide any information on his attacker.
