At approximately 1:31 a.M., officers from the north precinct responded to a call of person down in 10 block of avenue w. Upon arrival officers discovered the victim lying in the alley with no visible signs of injury unresponsive. Birmingham fire and rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Jefferson county coroner took possession of the victim’s remains. Birmingham police department’s homicide division was advised further examination revealed the victim suffered a gunshot wound which resulted in his death. There are no suspect(s) in custody and investigators have not established a motive in this homicideAgency
