On 9/1/23, just prior to midnight, officers responded to 156 gilmore st. For the report of a person that had been shot. Officers encountered 51 year old j.B. Blackburn at the location. Blackburn reported that unknown persons had knocked on the door of the location. When the door was opened, shots were fired and blackburn was struck. He was transported to strong hospital but succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
