At about 12:56 am on tuesday, september 27, 2016, officers assigned to district e-13 (jamaica plain) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 267 centre street. On arrival, officers located a male victim in his early 40's suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as nigel louis hailey, 42 of columbus, ohio. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the boston police department at (617) 343-4470.
