On january 11, 2018 at approximately 9:15 a.M., lvmpd patrol officers were dispatched to a business located at 1411 north jones boulevard to investigate a report of a woman shot. Arriving officers located an adult female inside of the business suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to umc trauma where she was later pronounced deceased. The investigation initiated by the lvmpd homicide section indicated the victim was an employee of the business and was in the process of opening for the day. It is believed that at least one suspect entered the building behind the employee and possibly attempted to rob her. During the encounter the employee was shot. Two possible suspects were seen running from the business but could only be described as black males wearing dark clothing. They were last seen running eastbound across n. Jones blvd. And into a residential neighborhood.Agency
