At around 7:10 pm, west precinct officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of 27th street ensley on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene when they observed an adult male lying unresponsive outside on a set of stairs. Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was part of a crew of workers who were at a residence remodeling a residence. Unknown suspects forcefully entered the residence; we believe the victim was shot during a robbery. No other workers were injured.Agency
