On the afternoon of june 9, 1965 neighbors on the 1800 block of cody street heard yelling and went outside to discover elie boisvert had been cut and was yelling at a male to leave. Witnesses described the man as a black male, 35 to 40 years of age, about six feet tall, wearing a dark colored suit, dark shoes and a dress hat. The suspect ran south on cody, east on 18th to carr and south on carr to colfax. Mr. Boisvert confirmed the male had been the one to cut him. Mr. Boisvert died as a result of the incident.
