The richmond police department has identified the victim of yesterday’s homicide on north avenue as omar t. Green, 33, of the 2900 block of woodcliff avenue at approximately 10:57 p.M. Yesterday, officers responded to the 2300 block of north avenue for the report of a person shot. When police arrived on scene, they located omar t. Green down in a parking lot suffering from a life threatening gunshot wound. Green was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A male suspect was reportedly seen running from the scene wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The medical examiner will determine cause and manner of death.Agency
