In the early morning of january 12, 1988, two black males were observed struggling with hugo long when his wife went over and tried to help him. The men then tried to steal her purse and stabbed both long and his wife. Long and his wife retreated into their house and called 911 at 5:55 a.M. Both victims were taken to the hospital, where they were treated for stab wounds. On january 15, 1988, hugo long died from his stab wounds.Agency
