The richmond police department has identified the victim of last night’s homicide in the whitcomb court community as tyrell j. Thomas, 27, of the 2300 block of bethel street. At approximately 11:09 p.M. Yesterday, officers responded to the 2300 block of bethel street for the report of a person shot. When police arrived, they found thomas lying near the front of an apartment. He was unresponsive and suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.Agency
