On thursday, august 31, 2017, at approximately 1:50pm, columbus police patrol officers responded to the scene of a double shooting at the corner of traymore place and republic avenue. The officers found two individuals, later identified as theodore stokes and daryll gavin, lying on a front porch suffering from gunshot wounds. Mr. Stokes was pronounced dead at the scene and mr. Gavin was transported to grant hospital where he died several days later. Crime stoppers is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
