On may 20th, 2020 at 0045 hours lvmpd dispatch was alerted to a shot spotter notification at 1801 j street. Shot spotter indicated 10 shots had been fired. Officers immediately responded to the scene and discovered herman king laying on the ground at the entrance of the complex. Herman was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers performed cpr on herman until medical personnel arrived. Herman was transported to umc trauma where he was pronounced deceased. The area was canvassed, and one witnessed described seeing two black males in a silver, four door nissan leaving the area after the shooting. The vehicle appeared to have been circling the apartment complex for thirty minutes before the shooting occurred.Agency
