On september 22, 1988, denver police officers were called to the intersection of west custer place and south osceola street after a neighbor discovered 39 year old david perez deceased inside of his home. During the course of the investigation it was determined david perez had been stabbed to death. David perez worked at the downtown denver radisson hotel and enjoyed various outdoor activities and sports.
