Richmond police detectives have identified the victim in tuesday’s homicide as jashod edwards, 30, of richmond. Yesterday at approximately 11:19 a.M., richmond police responded to vcu medical center for the report of a shooting victim who arrived in a private vehicle. Rpd officers located an adult male, edwards, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The medical examiner will determine cause and manner of death. Detectives have determined that the shooting took place in the 2300 block of bethel street and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.Agency
