12/19/2008 time: 0210 hours location: from #77 to #52 castle brewer court (goldsboro) sanford, fl 32771 victim: marquis c. Jones cause of death: gunshot wound manner of death: homicide motive: unknown on december 19th, 2008 sanford police officers responded to 52 castle brewer court in reference to a black male, identified as marquis jones, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Jones was alert upon arrival but unable to speak or provide any information to officers. Contact was made with the resident who advised he was inside his residence sleeping when he was awoken by several gunshots. Jones ran into the apartment yelling he had been shot. Jones collapsed on the floor of the apartment. Jones was transported to central florida regional hospital where he passed away from his injury. Investigation revealed that the incident occurred in the parking lot area of unit #77, with a blood trail leading into unit #52.
