The metropolitan police department’s 6th district detective’s office is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the person(s) responsible for the murder of maurice humbles. On friday, november 15, 2002, at approximately 2:00 am, units from the sixth district responded to the 1200 block of chaplin street, se for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, the units found the body of mr. Maurice humbles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Humbles was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim worked for the washington post as an independent distributor and was preparing his vehicle for his daily route when he was attacked.
