Info

On june 21, 2012, at approximately 8:25 p.M., lvmpd call center received a 911 call in reference to a man down next to the stupak community center located at 251 w. Baltimore. Officers and medical personnel responded locating the male identified as louis kim, age 54 suffering from an apparent stab wound. Kim was transported to umc trauma center where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives obtained video surveillance from the stupak community center. The video surveillance shows kim walking eastbound on the north side walk, adjacent to the community center, as the suspect who was walking southbound in an alley, also adjacent to the community center. Kim and the unknown suspect crossed paths at the southeast corner of the community center. The suspect approached kim and stabbed him for no apparent reason. Kim fell to the ground and the suspect walked off northbound back down the alley. Nothing was stolen from the kim and the attack appears to be random in nature with no known motive.
