On the late evening of november 5, 2008, denver police officers responded to the area of east 7th avenue and elm street on a report of a shooting and two men down. Upon arrival, the officers located two victims. Irvin herrera-gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, agustin puente-yanez was taken to denver health medical center but unfortunately died the following day as a result of the gunshot wounds he sustained.
