On july 16, 2017, at approximately 11:35 p.M., columbus police officers were called to 165 e. 11th avenue on the report of gunshots and of people yelling that someone had been shot. Upon arrival, officers did locate a shooting victim in the common area of the apartment building, later identified as 33yr old mohamed abidraman mead, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by cfd medic 13 to osu main hospital in extremely serious condition. On july 18, 2017, mohamed mead succumbed to his injuries as was pronounced deceased at 2:38 p.M.
