Info

On july 7, 2017, at approximately 1316 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the area of 52nd street and rotary street. Officers located two victims suffering gunshot wounds lying on the ground next to a black dodge avenger. Sawyer later died from his injuries at the hospital. It was later learned the victims had stopped in this area to try and put a bumper to the car back on that had fallen off earlier in the day. While trying to reapply the bumper, unknown subjects in a silver chrysler 300 or a bmw (or similar make) pulled up to the victims and opened fire.
