On july 26, 1986, eddie ford returned home from work and parked in the alley. He walked up to the back porch of his residence where a black male, 13 to 20 years of age, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, walked up to him and fired three shots. Eddie died on his back porch from three gunshot wounds. The victim was divorced from his wife at the time of the death. Approximately two weeks prior to the homicide, someone fired shots at the victim in front of his residence. Bullets recovered at the scene were a .32 caliber. A bullet was located from the previous shooting which the victim did not report to the police. This was a .32 caliber bullet matching the others. The victim told some of his friends about the incident and stated he knew who had fired the first time. He never notified the police or told anyone the name of the person suspected of shooting at him the first time. The suspect(s) responsible for the death of eddie ford have yet to be identified.
