On march, 8, 2005, at approximately 9:20pm, 20yr old ronald bradley jr., accompanied by three passengers, drove to an unspecified location on arkwood place, on the eastside of columbus. After parking his 1986 chevy monte carlo, an unidentified male approached the passenger side of bradley's car and started speaking to them. Suddenly and without warning, the male backed away from the car and at least two other unidentified persons rushed towards the car, produced shotguns, and started firing at those inside of the car. Mr. Bradley, being struck by the gunfire, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the residence at 1228 arkwood ave. Both columbus police and fire personnel responded to the scene, rendering aide to mr. Bradley, as well as the passengers who were struck and injured by the shotgun blasts. Unfortunately, mr. Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene. The other injured parties were transported to local hospitals where they received treatment for their injuries.
