On the afternoon of july 10th, 1978 members of the denver police department responded to the skaggs drug store located near the intersection of west louisiana avenue and south federal boulevard on a report of a purse snatching. Upon arrival, officers were informed by witnesses that 83 year old alma anderson was attacked by an unknown male suspect. Miss anderson was immediately transported to a local hospital due to the serious injuries she sustained during the attack. Three days later, alma anderson died from her injuries.
