On 02-20-2023 at 2247 hours, officers were dispatched to nb us 71 hwy. And red bridge rd. On a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they located two vehicles involved in an accident off the roadway. In one of those vehicles, they located a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound who was then transported research medical center. On 02-23-2023 the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased. During the investigation, it was determined the occupants of two moving vehicles were involved in an altercation that led to the shooting.
