Info

On july 2, 1979, at about 12:55 p.M., officers responded to the east bank of the willamette river just south of the steele bridge, to the report of a body in the river. Upon arriving the officers located the victim, stephen donald mount, a 23-year-old white male, whose body was halfway in the river. When officers pulled mr. Mount out of the river they determined that he had died from homicidal violence. Witnesses have reported mr. Mount may have had an argument with two hispanic males the night before the homicide; however, there were no physical descriptions regarding the subjects. The cold case unit would like anyone with information regarding this case to contact them.
