Joseph t. Davis b/m 08/24/1985 on 09-12-2012 at approximately 1420 hours, officers were dispatched to 40th & wabash on a shooting. The victim was located lying in the southwest corner suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries. The victim had been walking in the area when he was approached by a black chevy monte carlo. The occupant(s) began shooting at the victim from inside the vehicle.
