At approximately 7:00 am, east precinct officers were dispatched to the 900 block of meg drive on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene when they entered a private residence and observed the victim lying unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
