Update - may 2022: already in prison on murder charges, terry mack confessed to authorities in the killing of essie camps. Mack admitted to knowing camps and his family very well. On the day of the murder, mack visited camps at home twice in search for drugs. The second time, mack stabbed camps while he was sitting in his recliner. On wednesday, february 28, 1990 at 3 pm. The body of essie camps, an 84 year old black male, was located at his residence of 1316 ne 4 ave. By his grandson. He had been stabbed multiple times. He was last seen alive by friends at his home at approximately 1:25 pm.
