On wednesday august 15, 2012 at about 11:00 am, several people utilizing the santa fe trail running along the east side of fountain creek, south of the cimarron bridge, found a body lying near the wooden pedestrian bridge over fountain creek. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds, and was likely attacked where he was found. Victim was a transient with a campsite along the same trail, about 3/4 of a mile away. A blue bicycle and a dog found nearby were believed to belong to the victim. Witnesses who had been in the area less than thirty (30) minutes earlier reported that the victim was not there at that time.
