On december 5, 1985, around 2200 hours, an unknown suspect entered the junction creek liquor store in the 2300 block of main avenue and killed the clerk, dennis sleater, by shooting him in the back. Sleater was in the basement of the business when he was shot and money was taken from two cash registers by the suspect.
