In the early morning hours of 12/04/2001 the body of dustin spaller was found by a fisherman in the area of 33 mill st. Painesville, ohio 44077. The area, known to most as the fishing spot at recreation park, is located along the grand river near the entrance of the park. Spaller was found to have been fatally shot after what appeared to be a significant struggle with his assailant. Much information is known in this case, and an accomplice has already been convicted and is currently serving a 25 year prison sentence. The painesville police are looking for eye witnesses, location of any evidence known, or any other facts that are relevant to the new attempts at solving this crime. The public is being asked to assist with any new information that they feel would bring a resolve to this case. Calls are encouraged and can be directed to det. J.T.
