On february 17, 2007 officers were called to the 1000 block of south decatur street on a report of a home invasion robbery where a person was shot. Upon arrival, 61 year old kenneth gorman was located inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
